The highlight of the day was the Presentation Day game, where 20 teams battled it out! These teams, representing clubs across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland (Nambour, Yandina, Woombye, Palmwoods, Mapleton, Kenilworth, Pomona, and Cooroy), showcased the league's commitment to inclusivity. Each team of four included at least one woman and one novice or junior player.
The excitement doubled with not one, but two raffles sponsored by Sunshine Coast Bowls Shop and Support2U! A brand new set of bowls was up for grabs in each raffle – one for seasoned bowlers and another for our developing players. Congratulations to Roger Nichols from Nambour Heights Bowls Club and Beth Jenkins from Nambour Bowls Club on winning these fantastic prizes!
Adding a touch of official recognition, Councillor David Law joined the festivities. He had the opportunity to connect with participants, learn about the league's history, and witness firsthand the strong sense of community fostered by the BPHLL.
The BPHLL has become a beloved tradition for the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It provides a welcoming space for bowlers to develop their skills, build friendships, and enjoy some friendly competition. Here's to another successful season in 2025!
